Some of Baird Center’s sustainable features include a solar roof, grey roof membrane, stormwater management system, bird-friendly fritted glass and state-of-the-art ORCA food digesters. The expansion has received LEED Gold certification. Backed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED is the most widely used and well respected green building rating system in the world. We’ve also earned GBAC-Star accreditation by implementing the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention.
